Music, Mandarin & Spanish
Music is an integral part of every Montessori environment. Besides having calming music in the classrooms, we also involve movement with music at circle time. Music helps children find a balance between their mind and body while trying to refine coordination and precision in their movements to go with the rhythm.
Once in two weeks, our children love working with Ms. L in music and movement, besides the music and movement we conduct during our daily circle time.
Mandarin is a language rich in history and culture. Mandarin utilizes Chinese characters, one of the oldest writing systems globally. By immersing in Mandarin from a young age, children cultivate not just cultural understanding but also sharpen cognitive abilities, communication prowess, and unleash boundless creativity, setting the stage for a lifetime of learning.
Our children adore their time with Ms. J twice a month, engaging in Mandarin lessons filled with storytelling and joyful song sessions. Together, we showcase our newfound skills in an exciting year end show.
Ms. M, loves working with our children in our classroom. She encourages children to converse in español, and also sings español songs during our circle time.
