“The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.” - Maria Montessori.

In a Montessori environment, the focus is on oneself and one’s relationship with this environment. Also, it deals with the study of social relationships and the functioning of society in a general aspect. As human beings, we are aware of our environment and its people as soon as we are born. Spatial orientation helps children understand their place in the community outside their homes.

Physical and cultural geography are introduced to children to help them understand and appreciate the history of humankind and nature.

History is introduced to the child in a Montessori environment. The self timeline helps children understand that each individual is a part of human history and society and how to make a mark and contribute to themselves.

Science in a Montessori environment helps children learn the life cycles of birds, fish, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles. They also learn about the food cycle, water cycle, vertebrates/invertebrates.
